I am a Yellow Labrador Retriever, born on October 1, 2007 in San Rafael, CA on the campus for Guide Dogs for the Blind. My parents are David and Belinda. I was born to be a guide dog for a blind person but my life took a turn when it was discovered I had elbow dysplasia, which disqualifies me to be a guide dog. That is when my life as a pet started with the people who raised me as a Puppy In Training, Chuck and Donna. They were pretty unsure about having a 'pet' dog because that meant I couldn't go everywhere like a PIT. But we worked it all out and now I have the best life and I am a working dog (kind of) after all. I went through training and the test to be a Therapy Dog. So I get to still help people. And, I am mentor to the PIT's that Mom and Dad continue to raise for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Currently they are raising Hera, a FBL, who is almost a year old. She has been a lot of fun, so far.
